We are doing lots of work with Roald Dahl stories in our classroom and discussing the books we like to read. We have learned about adjectives, time connectives, what makes a good story and the structure of a story. We are listening to the BFG and even made our own hopes and dreams jars for the year.
It's 100 years since the birth of Roald Dahl. To celebrate this wonderful author, we are having a Roald Dahl Party Day this Friday and all the class pupils are invited! The children can dress up as their favourite character from a Roald Dahl story and there will be lots of fun games to play! Here's some ideas for costumes: Willy Wonka/Charlie Bucket from Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, Sophie/the BFG, one of The Twits, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Mrs. Trunchbull/Matilda, Mr. Hoppy from Esio Trot..
