We had lots of fun performing in the Winter show this week for all the parents and families. I was very proud of everyone in our class. The children wrote their own poem on the theme of Winter called 'Winter is the Season' and sang the song 'Walkin' in a Winter Wonderland'. Joseph did a fantastic introduction and everyone did a super job. Well done Lime Class! Here's some photos of us on stage. You can view a video of the whole performance here. The children in Lime Class were really lucky today to take part in a drumming and percussion workshop. It took place in tha hall and lasted an hour and a half. It was directed by Paul Maher of 'Simply Music'. They learned lots about percussion and had a chance to try it out for themselves and play in a group. It was great fun! Staying with our Antarctica theme, we made penguins out of clay in our Art lesson and painted them before we took them home. We have been keeping an eye on a website that tells us all about a penguin colony in Antarctica. Scientists live there for a number of months every year and research the penguins in the colony. They upload photographs of them every day and let us know how they're all getting on. It's very exciting! Every child in the Lime Class designed their own penguin postcard which we sent to Antarctca. We hope to receive them back in the New Year with the authentic Antarctic stamp on them. |
